I've been using n8n for my automations for the last year. It’s been deployed on a DigitalOcean droplet, which can be a hassle and strangely complicated. I even wrote a guide on how to deploy your own self-hosted n8n instances on DigitalOcean. That guide can be disregarded.
Earlier this week I found Sliplane. It’s a service that simplifies the deployment of various software on servers, including n8n in basically one click. I even forgot to add a payment method after the 48 trial was up, and the guys reinstated a backup with all automations saved really quickly.
It’s around $10/month, can’t beat that. Highly recommended.
